Clients Vindicated in Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals
February 28, 2017
In early 2012, Enlightened Wealth Institute, along with several other parties, were sued in Los Angeles Superior Court for alleged losses incurred incident to a plaintiff’s out-of-state real estate investments. Enlightened Wealth Institute and four other parties would retain Prince Yeates for representation in the matter of DuFour v. Allen et al.
Prince Yeates shareholder Charles L. Perschon orchestrated the litigation for the firm’s five clients, each named as defendants in the case.
The case was eventually removed from California state court to California federal court by another party. After removal, Mr. Perschon persuaded the federal court to grant summary judgment for his five clients.
The plaintiff appealed, and on February 7, 2017, Mr. Perschon argued his clients’ case before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. Only two weeks later, on February 22, 2017, the Ninth Circuit issued its decision affirming summary judgment for Mr. Perschon’s clients.
