- Adam S. Affleck will be presenting a lecture about bankruptcy at a seminar put on by the National Business Institute in Salt Lake City, Utah on December 16, 2000. Mr. Affleck earned his B.A. degree, cum laude, from Boise State University and his J.D. degree, cum laude, from Brigham Young University. The main areas of Mr. Affleck's practice are bankruptcy, commercial law and litigation. Mr. Affleck teaches bankruptcy-related courses at Brigham Young University. - Jennifer R. Korb recently began serving as Chair of the Mentoring Committee for the Securities Section of the Utah State Bar. The Mentoring Committee is focused on implementing and supporting the new attorney mentoring program created by the Utah State Bar and Utah Supreme Court. Before joining Prince Yeates & Geldzahler, Ms. Korb practiced for five years as a Securities Analyst for the Utah Department of Commerce, Division of Securities, where she investigated and prosecuted suspected violations of Utah securities laws. While at the Division of Securities, she served as a Special Assistant United States Attorney for the District of Utah, lending her expertise in the area of securities to several federal prosecutions. - Prince Yeates attorney Adam S. Affleck recently began his seventh year as an adjunct professor with the J. Reuben Clark Law School at Brigham Young University. He is currently teaching courses on the law of debtors and creditors and business reorganizations under the bankruptcy code. Mr. Affleck’s practice focuses on trial and appellate work involving bankruptcy, real estate, contracts, secured transactions, fraud, trade regulation and antitrust. His bankruptcy experience includes representation of creditors, trustees and debtors in all aspects of liquidation and reorganization proceedings. - The Girl Scouts of Utah recently elected Erin M. Stone of Prince Yeates as a Board Member. As part of her obligations to the Board, she will serve on the fundraising development committee. Ms. Stone was active in the Girl Scout program as a youth in California and is excited to participate again in this wonderful organization. At Prince Yeates, Ms. Stone has built a practice focusing on transactional law, as well as general, commercial, and bankruptcy litigation. She is a 2004 graduate of the S.J. - James W. McConkie, III recently completed his first semester as an adjunct instructor teaching business law with the David Eccles School of Business at the University of Utah. He will continue teaching during the upcoming fall semester. Mr. McConkie’s practice focuses primarily on general civil and commercial litigation, with special emphasis in business disputes, employment, trademarks, unfair business practices, and international law. He is a shareholder at Prince Yeates and is currently serving as Vice President on the firm’s Board of Directors. Mr. McConkie received a B.A. degree in history from the University of Utah in 1995, a J.D. degree in 1999 from George Washington University, and a Certificate of International Legal Practice in 2000 from the Center for International Legal Studies in Vienna, Austria. - Prince Yeates is pleased to announce that Sally B. McMinimee has been elected President of the Firm for 2009-2010. Sally has served on the Board for the last five years.
