
Michael N. Zundel
Michael Zundel provides litigation counsel and services to national and local banks, leasing companies, real estate developers, investors, bankruptcy trustees and business people in a variety of enterprises. A significant portion of Mr. Zundel's practice has been devoted to complex banking, real estate and business matters and to the prosecution and defense of fraud and breach of contract cases and EPA litigation. He has authored Chapter 11 bankruptcy plans for both debtors and creditors and has represented trustees and major creditors in numerous bankruptcy cases and proceedings in industries as diverse as agriculture, aviation, mining, communications, leasing and real estate development.
Mr. Zundel has practiced as a trial attorney in all state and federal trial and appellate courts in Utah. He has also presented arguments to the United States Courts of Appeal in the Ninth and Tenth Circuits, and in state or federal trial courts in the states of California, Idaho, Illinois, Mississippi, Nevada, Oregon and Wyoming.
Born at Hill Air Force Base, Utah, Mr. Zundel graduated from the University of Utah in 1979 with a B.A. degree in finance and earned an MBA degree from the same university in 1981. He received a J.D. degree from the University of Utah College of Law in 1982, where he was a published member of the Utah Law Review and a William H. Leary Scholar.
Mr. Zundel is a member of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, the American Bar Association, the American Bankruptcy Institute, the Aldon J. Anderson Inn of Court (President 2006-07) and the Utah Bankruptcy Lawyers Forum (President 2003-04). He has served on the advisory committee for the Local Rules of Practice of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Utah.
